I entered into the mortgage field in 1999 after selling our family business here in Florida. I developed a solid foundation of mortgage origination knowledge and creativity while working for Chase Manhattan Bank through 2005. It was at this time that I decided to leave the corporate world and become licensed as an independent mortgage broker. A decision I’ve never regretted.
The advantage of being a mortgage broker is passed on to you, the consumer. As a broker, I have what seems like an endless array of mortgage product variations that allows me to offer even the most credit challenged an opportunity to purchase the home of their dreams. Working for a bank like Chase, I was confined to only the mortgage products and conservative credit guidelines they deemed appropriate to offer the consumer. I went from having the selections of only one store to shopping in the Mall!
In January 2015, I was introduced to the people of Northern Mortgage and was easily impressed by the honest professionalism they conduct everyday business with. I was so impressed that I put my broker origination license on hold while being their sponsor to become licensed in the state of Florida, this being a state requirement. This process took over three months but has also been a decision I haven’t regretted. What separates Northern from the others is their willingness to communicate at all levels and their efforts to close all loan applications.
